With so many hurting souls in this sinful world and with Dr.
Allbright getting up in years now, the Lord has impressed him to
focus more on (1) counseling ministers and counselors so that
they can be healthy spiritually and in turn, more effectively
counsel others. And he is focusing on (2) training
ministers and counselors how to do the type of biblical
counseling he does...thus, multiplying counselors. So, the
workshops are for ministers, counselors, and other persons who
feel the Lord wants them to learn how to counsel people who are
in bondage. There
is no registration fee required for attending a workshop. (Please
note at this time that Joe is not doing any counseling because the Lord has
impressed us to write another book, "Tools for Liberating the
Bruised", a partner to Liberating the Bruised. It will
share counseling procedures in detail plus various prayers that
Joe uses during counseling, plus other teachings. Hopefully the book will be in
print in early 2010.)
Joe counsels two or three volunteer counselees while those
attending observe. As these precious volunteers are blessed by
receiving biblical counseling, they will in turn bless those
attending the workshop by being a beautiful teaching tool,
demonstrating how the Lord can, indeed, set Satan's captives
free and give them peace and joy. And of course, as you
can well understand, no audio or visual recordings are allowed
during the counseling sessions. Thank you for respecting
this rule!

are (1) a minister; (2) a Christian counselor; (3) a
lay-counselor, desiring to learn how to help people, or (4) if
you are in need of counseling but desire to observe the workshop
as further encouragement to learn how you also can find freedom
through Jesus Christ. HOWEVER, you must agree that you
cannot receive counseling at any time during the workshop from
Joe, nor from anyone attending the workshop, as that would
distract and hinder them from the purpose for which they came to
the workshop---to learn how to help hurting people. Thank you very much for respecting and
understanding this requirement.

TWO REQUIREMENTS
FOR FIRST-TIME WORKSHOP ATTENDEES OF THIS WORKSHOP
(1) You
must read Joe's book, "Liberating the Bruised" before coming
to a workshop so that you are fully informed as to the type
counseling he does. This cuts down a great deal on questions
the attendees would have otherwise.
(2) You must fill out an 18-page “Confidential Personal
Inventory” form, and bring it with you to the workshop
where you will only use it privately as you observe how Joe
uses the volunteer counselee’s
form.
PLEASE NOTE: If you do not have a book and/or a counseling form, please
order them in plenty of time before the workshop. One
book is $15.00 plus $3.75 S&H. (Click on the
"Order Book/CDs for more than additional orders, please.) And, there is
no charge for the counseling form.
ANOTHER NOTE:
Unlike more recent workshops, Joe will be speaking Monday
morning at The Church of West Mountain, therefore, before persons
come to the workshop, they will not be required to listen to the
set-of-five "Counseling the Bruised" CDs nor be asked to
review the "Counseling the Bruised" syllabus containing
materials and illustrations that Joe talks about on the CDs.
Each person attending the workshop will be given a syllabus
(extra copies are $5 each). And, the CDs are available
before and during the workshop for persons interested in
purchasing them. However, if you prefer, you are, of
course, still welcome to order the CDs and syllabus to study

REGARDING CHILDREN
ATTENDING WORKSHOPS
Please know
that we very dearly love children---we are parents and
grandparents ourselves...but the extremely critical subject
matter of the workshop is not for the ears of children, so we
cannot allow children to attend the workshop. And, while
children are most surely a delight to our hearts, they could be
a distraction for the volunteer counselees, others who have come
to learn, and to Joe while he is teaching and counseling. We
appreciate everyone understanding and for respecting this
requirement.
CATERED LUNCHES
PLEASE NOTE:
It would not be wise for anyone to plan to go out to eat at
lunch time because restaurants are too far away for one to go,
eat, and return to the workshop within the lunch hour.
Thus, valuable workshop time would be wasted! So, for your
convenience, catered lunches will be offered for $50.00 for the
week at the church. Of course, if you
are on a special diet, we suggest that you bring your lunch
in a cooler each day and all of us can enjoy fellowship as
we dine together! When you register, please let us
know your preference. And, if you want the catered lunches, please contact Joe and Rita to
place your order and
send your check/money order for $50.00 no later than the week before the workshop.
